Warrior offense still searching for answers
      Like most baseball teams in the Marmonte League, Westlake High is loaded with great pitching. Unfortunately for the Warriors, they are struggling at the plate. In the last four games, Westlake has scored only three runs and has seen its league record drop to 3-6.

CHS grad to play in Pan American Maccabi Games
      Jennifer Bernstein of Calabasas has been appointed by Maccabi USA/Sports for Israel as a member of the Youth Tennis team representing the United States at the 11th Pan American Maccabi Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The games will take place Dec. 26 through Jan. 2, 2008.

Local girls capture Apricot Jam title
      THEY'RE JAMMIN'- The Agoura, Oak Park, Calabasas and Westlake Village girls' U12 allstar soccer team won its division at the Moorpark Apricot Jam Tournament, defeating two of the state's top teams in the process. Junior runner hopes for a big effort at Friday's Ventura County Championships
      He might not be LeBron James, but Calabasas High junior Clayton Graham could probably do a great Sprite commercial. Two years ago, Calabasas sprint coach Steve Smith caught Graham drinking the soft drink before a track meet, which was against team rules.

Marmonte dive finals Friday in Simi
      The Marmonte League will conduct its diving finals Friday afternoon at Rancho Simi Community Park pool in Simi Valley. The day's action is set to get underway at 2:30 p.m. Varsity and junior varsity boys and girls will compete. Last season, Westlake's Jake Isaacs won the varsity boys' division and Royal's Melani Meister won the girls' division.
