t y . Bravo to students' 'Hello Dolly!'

On Fri., March 30, I had the pleasure- that is putting it mildly- to go to Oak Park High School and see "Hello, Dolly!" As the show began, I felt like I was at the Ahmanson or Shubert theaters- that is how professional the production was.

"Hello, Dolly!" was always my favorite musical show. We saw it with Carol Channing, Betty Grable in Las Vegas, Pearl Bailey and Cab Calloway and, of course, the motion picture.

The orchestral accompaniment, the chorus, the leading performers- how can I stop praising the accomplishments of the Oak Park High School Performing Arts Department.

Not just Allan Hunt (although he is the lead in this department), but all the participants were great. Costumes were like those you may see in New York City at the Majestic Theater. The scenery was outstanding, and let's not forget all the stars. Rather than name some I must present accolades to all the performances- they were sensational. Rick Rhodes would surely agree.

Oak Park High School has certainly come a long and successful way in its accomplishments- academically and educationally- and also in the field of performances in the performing arts category.

To Allan and all his workers, keep doing what you're doing. It surely works. Eileen and Art Kahn Oak Park
