New diagnostic exam available at Rolling Oaks Radiology

Rolling Oaks Radiology, an imaging center in Thousand Oaks, has the state-of-the-art equipment and NeuroQ software necessary for neuro-PET (Positron Emission Tomography) imaging used in diagnosing Alzheimer's disease.

The incidence of Alzheimer's is increasing in baby boomers and early diagnosis is critical to slow the progression of the disorder.

Researchers say that using PET imaging in diagnosing Alzheimer's disease can potentially prevent a false diagnosis and also spot early cases of Alzheimer 's that might be missed by other methods.

The neuroPET exam is covered by Medicare for the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease.

For information on the neuroPET exam, ask a physician or call Rolling Oaks Radiology at (805) 778-1513.
