Westlake boys' tennis team wins a grudge match against Agoura
Emotions high as Warriors prevail at home
      The Agoura High boys' tennis team has played outstandingly this year by posting a record of 72 in Marmonte League play. Unfortunately for the Chargers, those two losses were to Westlake. Westlake created some breathing room in the Marmonte Tuesday by beating AHS for the second time this season, this time by a score of 10-8. The Warriors are undefeated in league with a record of 9-0.

Golf teams tune up for Marmonte League tournaments
      Consistency across the board helped the Newbury Park High boys' golf team defeat Agoura, Thousand Oaks and Calabasas in a Marmonte League match Monday afternoon at Los Robles Greens. Barrett Goldberg fired a 71 for the Panthers while Kyler Sauer and Kit Nelson chipped in with rounds of 73 as Newbury Park posted a team-low score of 368 under sunny skies at the Thousand Oaks course.

Caunan a multisport star for AHS
Her specialties include track, soccer and volleyball
      It may be an understatement to say Agoura High junior Megan Caunan loves sports. This season marks Caunan's third year on the varsity track team for the Chargers, where she has excelled in running the 4x100 and 4x400 relays as well as the 100 and 200meter events. However, track and field is hardly Caunan's only athletic endeavor.

OPHS boys' volleyball squad earns a break
Eagles ranked No. 5 in Division IV coaches' poll
      After dispatching Bishop Diego in three games Tuesday night at home, the Oak Park High boys' volleyball team will have two weeks' rest before its much anticipated showdown against TriValley League rival Oaks Christian on April 17. Oak Park (13-3, 6-1) had little trouble fending off Bishop Diego (7-4, 5-2). The Eagles won by scores of 25-14, 25-17 and 25-21.

Landecker swinging a hot stick for Calabasas
      Prior to Wednesday's game against Simi Valley High, Calabasas sophomore third baseman Adam Landecker was leading the Marmonte League with a .543 batting average. Landecker, who's in his first full year with the Coyote varsity team, had hit safely in the team's last six games, including a four-hit performance during the Coyotes' 9-7 victory over Westlake last week.
