Exhibit opens Monday

The Pierce College Art Gallery will present "Life and Times in Hogarth's London," an exhibition of engravings and etchings by William Hogarth, from April 9 through 19 at 6201 Winnetka Ave., Woodland Hills.

A reception and lecture will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wed., April 11. Professor David Kunzle of UCLA will discuss "Social and Artistic Satire in Hogarth's Marriage a la Mode" in art room 3300.

The artwork was given to the college as a donation by Ruth Globerson. The exhibition will be curated by art history professor Constance Moffatt and students.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Thursday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Admission is free. For information, call (818) 719-6498.
