Egg hunter My 3-year-old son wasn't much of an egg hunter last Easter, but this year he's a monster. He and I have already tried some practice egg hunts before the big bunny day rummage, and he not only found all the eggs I hid this year, but he found some of the eggs that I hid last year that had been declared permanently missing.

      The perseverance of life After spending much time in the cold Northeast this winter, I am amazed by species' adaptations to survive the winter. Upon returning I also marvel at the chaparral plants' adaptations allowing for survival during intense heat and drought.
