Viewpoint tripped up in championship game
Boys' soccer squad loses to Animo, 4-1

      The breaks, the bounces, the calls- they didn't go Viewpoint's way Saturday afternoon in the CIF-Southern Section Division VI boys' soccer championship. Viewpoint, making its first title game appearance in school history, was defeated by Animo Leadership of Inglewood 4-1. The game was played at Allen Layne Stadium on the campus of Downey High School.

Surf benefit at Ventura Point
      The Arden Taylor VIII Surf Benefit, hosted by the Ventura Surf Club, is slated to be held Sat. and Sun., March 24 and 25, at Surfer's Point in Ventura. The action gets underway at 7 a.m. The longboard contest is open to all. Registration fees are $55.

      After nine years of waiting, Agoura High wrestling coach Dennis Ritterbush finally returned to the CIF State Finals. Agoura senior Dayne Santoro became the first Charger wrestler in nearly a decade to make it to state last weekend in Bakersfield.
