Oak Park High Hall of Fame awards announced

The Oak Park High School Booster Club has announced the recipients of their 2007 OPHS Hall of Fame awards.

This year's inductees are Tyler Blondi, David Puopolo and Belinda Tucker.

The recipients were chosen based on their contributions in support of the Oak Park High School athletics program.

Blondi was a threesport athlete at Oak Park who later returned to the high school to coach football and teach. He's currently a police officer in Beverly Hills.

Tucker was instrumental in raising funds and awareness to help install the new Oak Park High School track. Her children participate in the track program.

Puopolo is a former Booster Club president who helped expand the club to include all sports, not just football.

The three will be presented with the awards at a dinner in their honor Sat., March 17 at Sunset Hills Country Club.

The silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will follow at 7 p.m.

Silent auction items include a weekend in Mammoth, tickets to "The Ellen Show" and "The Tonight Show," signed sports memorabilia, various golf packages, spa treatments and specialty wine baskets.
