Arbor Day events

Mountains Restoration Trust presents the following events in commemoration of Arbor Day.

Arbor Day/Dry Canyon Creek Restoration Project will be from 9 a.m. to noon Sat., March 10 at Headwaters Corner, 23075 Mulholland Hwy, Calabasas. Help is needed to restore the life of this creek at the headwaters of the Los Angeles River. Reservations are required by calling (818) 591-1701, ext. 205.

Arbor Day celebrates habitat restoration of native oaks and willows along the Cold Creek Trail and Dry Creek from 1 to 4 p.m. Sat., March 10 at Cold Creek Preserve. Reservations are needed by calling (818) 591-1701, ext. 203.

Arbor Day/Habitat Restoration is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sun., March 11 at Malibu Creek State Park. Participants will pull weeds and plant oaks in one of the many new oak groves that have been planted by volunteers during the last 10 years. Bring lunch, water and gloves; tool will be provided.
