Monarchs National Gymnastics Training Center was represented at the 2007 All Olympia Invitational Feb. 10 and 11 with a six-member Level 7 girl's optional gymnastics team. Saturday is a big day for the Viewpoint School boys' soccer team. The Patriots will play topseeded Animo High for the CIFSouthern Section Division VI championship. Saturday's game will take place at Downey High at noon. Viewpoint, seeded third in the division, advanced to the title game by defeating Yucca Valley 2-0 at home in double overtime Tuesday afternoon. More ... WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?- The Hungry Dogs AYSO U-10 boys' soccer team went undefeated and finished in first place at the Riverside Locomotion Tournament on President's Day weekend. The Dogs' division consisted of 15 teams from all over Southern California, and they went on to beat the top-seeded team from Moreno Valley 3-0 in the title game. More ... NICE SHOWING- The Ventura Premier Water Polo Club traveled to Coral Springs, Fla., to participate in the fifth annual South Florida International Tournament. Twentyfour teams from across the world competed in the threeday event. Ventura Premier lost to the Israeli 19-and-under national team 6-3 in the quarterfinals, but rebounded to defeat Santa Barbara 12-7 to claim third place. More ... Sports RSS feed |
