A tree and his friend

LAURA STARKS/Special to The Acorn FRUITFUL ENDEAVOR- Eric Winikoff as The Boy gathers apples that have fallen from the branches of his selfless friend The Tree, played by Ryan Rosenheim, in a performance of Shel Silverstein's "The Giving Tree" at Sumac Elementary School recently. The show was one of five popular children's books brought to life by Hilary Boss' combined fourth- and fifth-grade class at the school.
