Class revisits Jewish court of law cases
Four-week class open to the community
The Conejo Jewish Academy will present a four-week course titled "You Be the Judge" at 8 p.m. Wednesdays beginning Feb. 28 at 30345 Canwood St., Agoura Hills. The course, taught by Rabbi Moshe Bryski and open to students of all backgrounds, will examine cases that were presented to a Beit Din (Jewish court of law). Debate and discussion about the case will follow. Students need no prior knowledge of Talmud or formal legal training. Source texts from the Talmud and the analyses of Jewish legalists will be provided. The course has been accredited for CLE credits for California attorneys and by the BJE for educator credits.
