Off the mark

Thank you for your exemplary coverage of the Chabad "eruv" controversy. However, in your Jan. 25 story regarding the most recent Oak Park Municipal Advisory Council meeting, I was quoted as saying, "We have many religious groups in the community and they're not all Jewish."

I don't recall expressing my feelings in precisely that way--words that may strike some as excessively pejorative. But if I did, what I meant to point out is that we are a multicultural, multireligious community, and as such we have to respect all our neighbors. Carol Rosenberg Agoura Hills
