Temple to help send New Orleans kids to camp

      When it throws a party, Temple Beth Haverim in Agoura Hills goes all out to make it both fun and meaningful. When partygoers show up for the temple's annual dinner/dance Feb. 10 at the Four Seasons in Westlake Village, they'll not only come for the food and entertainment, but also to support a cause for children.

Discussion on interfaith marriage
      The Valley Interfaith Council will present a panel discussion of interfaith couples from 7 to 9 p.m. Sun., Feb. 11 at Temple Judea, 5429 Lindley Ave., Tarzana. The couples on the panel include a Canadian Muslim and his wife who is a United Methodist and a Catholic and her Jewish husband. They will share stories of love and family in an interfaith relationship.

Prayer brunch
      Magnificat, a ministry to Catholic women, will host a prayer brunch from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thurs., Feb. 22 at the Porter Valley Country Club, Porter Valley Drive, Northridge.
