Teacher to give seminar on 'calmer parenting'

Noël Janis-Norton Noël Janis-Norton will present a seminar on "Calmer, Easier, Happier Parenting" at 7 p.m. Wed., Jan. 31 at Congregation Or Ami, 26115 Mureau Road, Ste. B, Calabasas. The presentation is sponsored by Heschel West and Congregation Or Ami.

JanisNorton will offer techniques parents can use to help their children become more cooperative, confident and selfreliant. She will discuss how to deal with family issues such as bedtime, homework, sibling rivalry and chores without nagging.

Janis-Norton is a learning and behavior specialist and the founder of the New Learning Centre in London. She has more than 30 years experience as a teacher, special needs advisor, consultant and lecturer.
