Speed and agility clinic for ballplayers coming to Agoura

Atomix Sports Performance will conduct a six-week speed and agility clinic for baseball and softball players beginning Sun., Jan. 21 in Agoura Hills.

The training sessions will run every Sunday afternoon until Feb. 25. The total cost is $195.

Special guests include Steve Rodriguez, head baseball coach at Pepperdine University, and Debby Day, head softball coach California Lutheran University.

Clinics will include specific drills to improve bat speed, base stealing, pitching power, agility and speed mechanics. Proper warmup techniques and injurypreventive exercises will be included along with explaining why jogging and stretching may be a waste of time for ballplayers.
