Talk is cheap

I wish the school board, as well as Fairbank, Maslin and Maullin, could comprehend the "basics" of why H6 failed which, in the opinion of many voters, was because it was overinflated.

So rather than spend another estimated $25,000 to hear that, why not have an e-mail address or phone machine where the voters can actually communicate that to all of you who still don't get it? I seriously doubt that hiring a company for $25,000 to poll the reasons will get you any different answers, but it's so typical of how this board would handle it.

Just head up to BeanScene on any given morning and there's your poll. Those are the people who live, breathe and vote in our community. Those are the people you want to speak to, who go there every morning after dropping their kids off at school and discuss community issues. Those are the people who matter, because those are the people who vote. So for a couple of cups o' Joe, you've got your answers. Now, I'd like to see you actually do that. Judi Fields Oak Park
