YMCA will offer winter camps during holiday break

The Conejo Valley and Triunfo YMCAs will offer winter camps during the upcoming winter school break for children in kindergarten through eighth grade. Triunfo YMCA camps will be Dec. 22 through Jan. 5. Conejo Valley YMCA camps will run from Dec. 26 through Jan. 5.

The Conejo Valley YMCA winter camp will be at the YMCA childcare site at Mountain Meadows Elementary School, 4200 Mountain Meadows Drive in Moorpark. Hours are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Field trips to the YMCA, Fo-Fo Wiggly, ice skating arena and bowling lanes are scheduled, along with sports, crafts and “crazy” days.

The Triunfo YMCA winter camp will be at the YMCA childcare site at Willow Elementary School, 29026 Laro Drive in Agoura Hills. Hours are 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Some of the activities planned are sack races, a scavenger hunt, crazy hair day, carnival games, talent show and snowball toss. Each day will have a different theme and different activities.

Parents can elect to have their children participate daily (Conejo Valley YMCA only), weekly or for the full two weeks.
