Dance team earns trip to New York
Team raising funds for coming trip

BROADWAY BOUND—Performers from the Agoura Hills Dance and Performing Arts Center enjoy the accolades they received at the regional trials in Burbank recently. The dancers will head to New York next July to compete in the nationals.
Company dancers from the Agoura Hills Dance and Performing Arts Center recently received top honors at the regional trials in Burbank for the New York City Dance Alliance. They will be showcasing their skills at the national championships in New York in July 2007.

Top accolades went to presentations of “Just 4 Fun,” “Courtin’ Time,” “Dancin’ Machine,” “Drumline,” “Straight Up,” “Another One Bites The Dust,” “One,” “Skaretactics,” “Seven Nation Army” and “Superfreak,” including a nomination for the Critic’s Choice Award.

Scholarship nominees were Christony Chartburut, Brenna Grabowski, Carly Melber and Jamel Samel. Eric Budginas was awarded two scholarships.

Company dancers range in age from 7 to 18 years. They are Katelyn and Krista Andreassen, Brigita and Eric Budginas, Christony Chartburut, Madison Clark, Sierra Egan, Emma Farrow, Karin Giron, Stephanie Goretsky, Brenna Grabowski, Alex Hagen, Becca Hirsch, Enna Ikuta, Ari Imazu, Rachel Maresca, Alex Marks, Carly Melber, Charlotte and Emily Merrill, Quinn Miller, Katrina Mitchell, Sophia Rowland, Jamie Samel, Rachel Schwartz, Hannah Sprague, Mary Truesdale, Melissa Wabby, Michaella Yarnell, and Julia and Madeline Zimring.
