•The 17th annual Bike Rodeo for children ages 6 to 14 will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sat., Jan. 6. During the rodeo participants will be tested on their ability to operate a bike safely. Their bikes will be checked for proper fit and maintenance and their helmets will be fitted properly.

Free registration will be taken onsite at Willow Elementary School playground area. There will be a free raffle for bicycle items.

The rodeo is sponsored by Agoura Cycling Center, L.A. County Sheriff ’s Department and the Metropolitan Transit Authority.

•Team packets are available for the winter 2007 Adult Basketball League which has games on Sundays from 6 to 10 p.m. and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center. The league will begin play the week of Jan. 7. 

•Packets are available for the winter/spring 2007 Adult Coed Softball and Men’s Softball Leagues. The Adult Coed Softball League plays on Sundays at Chumash and Forest Cove Parks in Agoura Hills. League play will begin on Sun., Feb. 4. Manager’s meeting and deadline to register is Wed., Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Agoura Hills Recreation Center. 

The Men’s Softball League plays on Saturday mornings at Chumash and Forest Cove Parks in Agoura Hills. League play will begin Feb. 3. Final determination of league format, deadline to register and the manager’s meeting is Wed., Jan. 10 at 8 p.m. at the Agoura Hills Recreation Center.

•The Senior Recreation Program is announcing its 10th annual Registration Social from 10:30 a.m. to noon Tues., Jan. 9. Seniors can sign up for classes, excursions and special events while socializing. There will be refreshments and a chance to be entered to win gift certificates valued at $25.

Also, registrants will be entered for a chance to win a free overnight trip to Solvang/Hearst Castle in March and will receive a one-time 10 percent discount on classes signed up for at the social.
