Program befriends special needs children

The Conejo Valley Friendship Circle will host a monthly program, “Sunday Circle,” for special needs children. The program is designed to improve motor, cognitive and communication skills in a happy, positive environment.

The first meeting will be at 1:30 p.m. Sun., Jan. 7, at Temple Beth Haverim, 29900 Ladyface Court, Agoura Hills.

“Children spend oneandahalf hours with teen volunteers enjoying music, art, baking, story time and karate,” said Rochel Bryski, Friendship Circle program director. “Kids have a great time in a warm and nurturing atmosphere. Everyone has fun.”

The fee is $10 per Sunday.

Future Sunday Circle dates are Jan. 28, Feb. 4, March 18 and April 29.
