AP scholars are announced

Viewpoint School in Calabasas recently named the students who received distinctions for their performances on the 2006 Advanced Placement exams.

The highest designation, “National AP Scholar,” was earned by students who received an average score of at least 4 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of the exams.

Local students receiving this honor are Arjun Kolachalam, Camarillo; Christopher Millhouse, Moorpark; and Adam Sowlati, Oak Park.

“Scholar with Distinction,” the next highest level, was granted to students earning an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of the exams. Local students

attaining this designation are Calabasas residents Heather Cohen, Michael Howard, Bonnie Pakravan and Rodolfo Saenz; Erin Mann and Alexander Shams of Agoura Hills; Thousand Oaks residents Miles Guidon and Samir Mehrotra; Evan Gates and Amanda Loh of Westlake Village; and Andrew Steele of Hidden Hills.

“Scholar with Honor” designations were bestowed on students who earned an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of the exams. Area students receiving this honor are Jacob Combs, Hidden Hills; Lauren Ford, Agoura Hills; Eric Leidersdorf, Westlake Village; and Daniel Pitsch, Calabasas.

The designation of “scholar” was granted to students earning scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams. Local students achieving this distinction are Nitin Bajaj, Shannon Greulich, Gregory Minihan, Sable Muntean and Adam Reiffen of Westlake Village; and Calabasas residents William Blackman, Erin Daigle, Naveed Majd, Sophie Netanel, Samuel Saenz, Sarah Schechter, Sloane Skala and Donald Stern.
