Bruno should be city’s next mayor

Cloaking itself in newspeak, the powers that be have done it again. The voters of Westlake Village voiced their desires; once more, City Council refused to listen. In unprecedented childish arrogance, our leadership punished the one councilman who did hear us out.

Jim Bruno, who pondered and studied the infamous EIR, who considered the issues and walked the city to hear us, was passed over because he disagreed with the autocratic cabal.

Shame on all of them for their failure to come together, their spitefulness, their bullying and their rehearsed mashing of our electorate’s one champion.

Jim Bruno should be mayor of Westlake Village. Any other outcome stinks, regardless of how they spin it. Michael M. Edelstein Westlake Village
