Flags are good Regarding Larry Brown's July 13 letter, "Annoying realtor," every Fourth of July I get up in the morning and walk my dog and am so enlightened to see all the flags in my neighborhood waiving in the breeze in celebration of our country's Independence Day. I look forward to this special display and it makes me feel proud. As for your remark about not collecting them afterward, hey, it was a thoughtful Fourth of July gift for our neighbors to enjoy. I don't know of anyone who takes back a gift. Perhaps your comments should be directed to the specific individuals who do not honor the flag and purposefully threw them in the street or put them in the gutter. Larry, I think you need to chill and learn to appreciate acts of kindness for what they are meant to be. Find the positive in life and enjoy it. Unlike you, my glass is always half full, not half empty. Jennie Jones Agoura Hills |
