Teradyne gives local scholarship

Michael Watts of Oak Park received a $5,000 scholarship in honor of Teradyne Inc. cofounder, Peter Hashem.

Watts is the son of Leah and David Watts and will be majoring in physics at UC Berkeley.

Teradyne, an electronics testing equipment company in Agoura Hills, established the scholarship to remember Hashem, who was a victim of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
