ADD support in Calabasas

Dealing with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) is an enormous challenge. Many people do not know where to go for information and support. When seeking information about ADD/ ADHD, looking for help for self, a child, or family, call the West Valley Attention Deficit Disorder Meetup Group.

"I wanted to create a safe environment where local people dealing with ADD and ADHD could gather to share experiences, progress and thoughts with one another," said Susan Ford of Calabasas, the group's hostess.

Ford is a former college professor, educational resource and technology expert who has been in the classroom for more than 20 years and now is dedicated to the needs and education of children affected by ADD/ADHD.

This group was established for those whose lives have been affected by ADD and ADHD, such as parents and their children with ADD/ADHD, adults with ADD and their spouses, teachers and professionals. All are welcome to attend, ask questions and share resources.

The first meeting will be in a private home in Calabasas at 7 p.m. Wed., March 22.

For more information, call Ford at (818) 274-2984 or visit the group's homepage at www. adultadd.meetup.com.
