Upcoming events at Madrid Theatre

The Madrid Theatre is offering a varied lineup of entertainment this month. The theater is at 21622 Sherman Way, Canoga Park and the box office may be reached at (818) 347-9938.

The theater's Center Stage Opera presents "Mozart and More" at 8 p.m. Sat., March 11 featuring Mozart arias, accompanied by the Center Stage Opera Orchestra conducted by Brian Onderdonk. The evening will feature soprano Shira Renee Thomas and pianist Adam Petrocelli.

Arts in Education Aid Council Inc. presents the sixth annual Valley Wide Student Art Show and Family Arts Festival from noon to 4 p.m. Sun., March 19. This fest will feature more than 600 young artists, musicians and performance artists from more than 40 San Fernando Valley public schools.

The Art Show will be held simultaneously in the Madrid Theatre lobbies and at the Canoga Park Youth Arts Center located one-half block from the theater.

Sierra Canyon Middle School students will present "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," from Fri. to Sun., March 24 to 26. The show is a satire of big business, following a lowly window-washer as he climbs the corporate ladder "without really trying." Shows are at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $15.
