Local artists celebrate ‘light’ at Finegood Gallery

West Hills presentation will run through Feb. 12

The Finegood Art Gallery, at the Jewish Federation Valley Alliance’s Bernard Milken Jewish Community Campus in West Hills, presents the exhibition “Celebrate Light” through Feb. 12.

During Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, Jews commemorate the historical triumph over their oppressors and overwhelming odds. This show is the product of more than 15 local artists whose works serve to reaffirm faith in light, beauty, inner strength and miracles.

Featured artists include Raphael Abecassis, Barbara Katz Bierman, Dorothy Comins, Lorin Fife, Shani Foster, Sonia Gold, Debra Gordon, Ann Krasner, Ettie Lerner, Dorit Levi, Eitan Mendelowitz, Alfred Sils, Carol Sils, Ruth West and Hedva Yardeni.

Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The gallery is closed Saturdays.

The Finegood Art Gallery is on level two of the Bernard Milken Jewish Community Campus, 22622 Vanowen St., West Hills.
