Critter Tails
FOREVER FRIENDS—Sharon Hutton of Calabasas says she and Socks were meant to be together. When Socks and I met she was crying like a baby, a kitten only about 4 months old. She was on my rooftop above the front door.
I climbed up and got her and returned her to my next door neighbor where I knew Socks lived.
After that I must have gotten her out of a dozen bad situations, and I realized she wasn’t being properly cared for.
I lived in a house with three roommates and a huge dog, so I knew I couldn’t have her there. But I snuck her in my room for a week and fell in love with her.
I begged my neighbor to let me keep her, but she declined my wish to be Socks’ new mom.
Then a month later I found a note on my door saying she didn’t want Socks any more.
I immediately went to get my baby and had to find a place for us to live within one month.
Socks and I have been together now for three years, and we are very close. She knows how much I wanted her and that God works in mysterious ways.
August 25th was the best day of my life—the day I got Socks.
