LIGHTING LEGOS—Rochel Bryski and friends light the Lego menorah during Friendship Circle’s Hanukkah extravaganza on Sunday. The Conejo Valley Friendship Circle, a program that pairs volunteer teenagers with special needs children, hosted a Hanukkah extravaganza on Sun., Dec. 10 at the Chabad of the Conejo, 30345 Canwood St., Agoura Hills.

Children, their families and teenage volunteers constructed a 6-foot tall menorah made from Legos as part of the festivities.

“This is the second year we’ve featured a Lego menorah,” said Rochel Bryski, Friendship Circle program director. “The kids have fun building the menorah as they learn about Hanukkah.”

Through the Friendship Circle, teens develop friendships and share activities with children with Down’s syndrome, autism, ADD and other emotional or physical challenges. Families of special needs children also receive support in the program.
