YMCA to watch youth so parents can shop, relax

The Triunfo YMCA, serving Westlake Village, Agoura Hills and Oak Park, is giving parents the opportunity to do their holiday shopping without their children on Fri., Dec. 8 and Fri., Dec. 15.

The Y will provide childcare on both days from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The YMCA will supply a pizza dinner, games and crafts. The cost is $20 for the first child and $15 for each additional sibling. Children must be four years of age or older. YMCA members and nonmembers may participate.

"Parents can use the time to shop or just to relax," said Chrissy Withers, Triunfo YMCA's childcare program director.

"Their kids will be under the supervision of our qualified YMCA childcare staff. To insure proper child/counselor ratios, space is limited and we suggest that parents call ahead of time to sign up," Withers said.

The Friday, Dec. 8 childcare evening will be at the YMCA's White Oak Elementary School childcare site at 31761 Village School Road, Westlake Village.

The Dec. 15 event will be at the YMCA's Sumac Elementary School childcare site at 6050 North Calmfield Ave., Agoura Hills.
