Ken Grow should educate himself

I don't know if Ken Grow's letter is supposed to be in jest or not. If he believes what he writes, then he is a fool.

My wife has worked in the Las Virgenes School District for more than 20 years. Most of the teachers have extensive education and are very dedicated. Just look at our scores compared to other school districts. Teachers use their spare time and own money for a lot of miscellaneous items. You throw in parent-teacher conferences, meetings and continued education, that more than makes up for any extra vacations or time off.

I ask Ken Grow to go observe a typical day at any of our elementary schools. He will come away with a different point of view than what he wrote. Rick Petitfils Calabasas
