Soteras helped the Chamber grow

Most people knew Pat Soteras as the executive director of the Agoura/Oak Park/Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Pat came to the aid of the Chamber at a time when membership was suffering and revenues were down. Pat Soteras volunteered her time to the Chamber for the last seven years of her life. The Agoura Chamber never received funds from the city of Agoura Hills, unlike surrounding Chambers that have been financially aided by their cities.

Not only did former chair Alex Soteras lose his own mother, but the Chamber and the entire com

munity lost the mother-image so strongly displayed by Pat.

As a former two-term chair of the Woodland Hills Chamber of Commerce, I had known and worked closely with Pat and always found her to be helpful and truly dedicated to helping local businesses, their owners and employees to succeed.

I, and all those whose lives she has touched, will sincerely miss this wonderful person.

But somehow I feel that Pat is somewhere still meeting and greeting new people and bringing them into her special world. Susan Harris Calabasas
