Charity League will hold annual ball

National Charity League, San Fernando Valley Chapter will host its 41st annual Charity Ball, "Imagine," on Sat., Nov. 25 at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The Charity Ball will honor 12 young women representing communities throughout the San Fernando Valley and Conejo Valley for their philanthropic commitment to the community.

This year is the 51st anniversary of National Charity League Inc., San Fernando Valley Chapter. The mission of the league is to foster mother/ daughter relationships in a philanthropic organization that is committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences.

The debutantes for 2006, along with their fellow members, volunteered nearly 5,000 hours at the philanthropies supported by the chapter: American Cancer Discovery Shops, Guide Dogs of America, Motion Picture Television Hospital, ONEgeneration, West Valley Food Pantry and Operation Gratitude.

The Charity Ball, which typically raises more than $40,000, donates its net proceeds to help meet the financial needs of the league's supported philanthropies.

The 2006 debutantes are Cassidy Colleen Boyd of Northridge, Kate Elizabeth Carnahan of Hidden Hills, Emily Christine Davis of Woodland Hills, Lauren Marie Ford of Agoura Hills, Rachel Michelle Geragos of Altadena, Lauren Elizabeth Giangregorio of Northridge, Emily Aria Rumack of Granada Hills, Iisha Sethi of Northridge, Lindsey Nicole Shaw of West Hills, Farrell Rose Ulrich of Hidden Hills, Lauren Alyse Weatherson of Calabasas and Samantha Cathryn Yeates of Agoura Hills.
