Countrywide opens new Calabasas center

Banking operations are expanded

Countrywide Bank announced the opening of a financial center in Calabasas on Nov. 13, a few blocks from Countrywide's corporate headquarters.

The new center at 23659 Calabasas Road brings to 21 the number of Countrywide locations in Southern California.

The new financial center is across from The Commons at Calabasas at the corner of Park Granada and Calabasas Road.

"With a tradition of mortgage banking expertise, Countrywide Bank has had a strong presence in the Los Angeles area for many years," said Michael Feldman, executive vice president. "Our new Calabasas financial center is truly a flagship location in a community that we have called home for several years."

Since its launch in 2001, Countrywide Bank has grown from $75 million in assets to $88 billion and now ranks as the 11th largest bank in America.
