Heads up, city

Oak Park and Westlake seem to be stealing all the controversy, so here is a bit for Agoura Hills.

The new freeway offramp for Kanan coming from Chesebro is looking good. I am sure that the Shell station has been very accommodating, but I am worried about one more thing that the civil engineers may have overlooked.

The right-turn lane (farthest to the right side of the road), as it turns right onto Kanan, immediately meets a driveway of egress and ingress to the Shell station. I have already seen a few near-miss accidents there and fear that when it inevitably does happen it will be a whopper (no, Burger King is on the other side of the freeway).

The Reyes Adobe Days rolled into town along with the usual pole banner advertising which is fine and encouraged. But to add to that was a banner that stretched from one side of Thousand Oaks Boulevard just west of Kanan Road to the other.

It looked like Reseda (sorry, Reseda) around here. A bit tacky, I'd say, though I do applaud the businesses that support Agoura Hills in general. Heads up, Agoura Hills City Council. Ian H. Taras Agoura Hills
