Company offers home care

NP As baby boomers age, the need for elder care will grow. Synergy HomeCare is a company created to meet those needs. Rich Seron recently opened a franchise at 1802 Eastman Ave., Ste. 110 in Ventura.

Synergy HomeCare provides nonmedical home care. Caregivers are available on an hourly, daily, weekly or 24/7 basis every day for seniors, the convalescing or disabled, or anyone needing help with daily activities.

The services provided are divided into three categories: Daily living companions, who provide social companionship; homemakers, who in addition to companionship also perform light housekeeping, meal prepa

ration and similar chores; and personal care assistants, who give limited physical assistance in addition to those services already mentioned. Long-term contracts are not required, and schedules can be adjusted according to the needs of the client.

"It is our goal to help our clients with their activities of daily living so they can focus on healing," Seron said. "We also do an extensive screening that allows us to best match a caregiver's personality and strengths with the client's wants and needs."
