Honor roll

+Several Viewpoint School seniors recently were named semifinalists in the 2007 National Merit Scholarship Competition.

Local students are Nitin Bajaj of Westlake Village, William Blackman of Calabasas, Patrick Saris of Newbury Park and Sarah Schechter of Calabasas.

Viewpoint School is a private, nondenominational school in Calabasas.

Also named as a National Merit semifinalist was Kareem Maddox, a senior at Oak Park High School.

+Adam Kellada, an Agoura High School graduate, has been named to the Dean's List at the UCLA School of Engineering.

Kellada earned a 3.74 grade point average during his first year at the university.
