Episcopal church blesses animals

PET PRAYERS-Elizabeth Hribal brings her dog, Sophie, to the Church of the Epiphany in Oak Park for the blessing of the animals by the Rev. Hank Mitchell. The service held earlier this month welcomed all kinds of pets including birds, cats, mice and even lizards. Epiphany invites the public to attend its next special event on Sun., Nov. 5, a recital of 20th-century chamber music by the Tonoi Ensemble. The church is at 5450 Churchwood Drive in Oak Park.
