Monarch's gymnastics team declares victory

Young gymnasts from Monarch's National Gymnastics Training Center won several awards at a recent invitational meet in Camarillo. Monarch's new Level 4 Team with girls as young as 7 and 8 years old competed with girls ages 11 and 12.

Danielle LaCorte won first place on the bars, which includes several difficult techniques, with a score of 9.05. Pamela Mueller received first place and Kennedi

Edney earned third place with their high scores on the bars. This was their first meet in either the level or age category.

Devon Morris scored 9.050 on her handstand dismount for first place. Devon's twin sister, Katherine, won third place with an 8.7 on beam.

Level 6 Annalee Mueller won second place and Sydnee Stanley took third place on the beam. Danielle LaCorte received

first place, Pamela Mueller took second place and Nikita Iyer earned third place during their floor routines, which included dance, tumbling and flexibility.

These gymnasts train year round learning new skills, building teamwork and perfecting routines. Monarch's National Gymnastics Training Center is at 5331 Derry Ave., Ste. H-C in Agoura Hills. For more information, call (818) 889-3634.
