Imagine life without Lowe's Although the Lowe's promoters want to label it as a "town center," we know the truth; it is a Lowe's project, nothing more, nothing less. We are blessed to live in such a beautiful, safe community and we must make very wise choices in our development plans to take care and preserve the gift of our village. I am a 25-year-old teacher who has been a resident of Westlake Village all my life and I want to share the gift of my city with my children someday. I know that in order to keep Westlake Village incomparable, I must do my part to preserve this "special way of life." I know in my heart, Lowe's does not belong in this town. I know in my heart that all I have to do is imagine what could be there instead of a big box. The possibilities are endless. I know that all I have to do is imagine. In his song "Imagine," John Lennon sang, "You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will be as one." Many citizens know Mayor Pro Tem Jim Bruno as a representative of the people of Westlake Village. He fights for what the people want and is not afraid to stand firm in the rough waters of opposition. Jim Bruno is not only my hero, he is my father. I know that he hears the lyrics to "Imagine" when he envisions the future of Westlake Village. Please vote no against Measure Z and join us to imagine the possibilities. Imagine what we could have. I hope some day you will join us, and Westlake Village will be as one.
