Lutheran church hires new youth minister

Westlake Lutheran Church has added a new youth minister, Sam Campeau, to the pastoral staffCampeau, a senior at California Lutheran University, will help to expand the church's youth and family programs.

Campeau has held various positions at El Camino Pines Lutheran retreats and conferences over the past five years, including camp program director. He's been involved in several community programs such as the Scandinavian Festival, Matthews Leadership Forum and the Community Leaders Association.

"We are excited to have Sam join our ministry team and look forward to the new opportunities this presents for our growing church family and community," said the Rev. Craig Beeker, pastor.

"I've been involved in youth programs for many years and my goal is to provide a safe, faithbased envir o n m e n t for kids to come and c o n n e c t with one another," s a i d Campeau. "I want to provide a place where faith is not just discussed but put into action."
