The Agoura Hills Department of Community Services has announced several upcoming events including a Halloween teen trip, a fall concert and a class in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
+Sign-ups are being taken for the Six Flags Magic Mountain Fright Fest trip. Fright Fest offers teenagers "sensory overload" with haunted mazes, roaming zombies, spooky shows and "extreme rides" in the darkness.
Teens will travel to the amusement park in Valencia on Sat., Oct. 28. The trip, from 3:30 to 11 p.m., costs $45. The price includes bus transportation and admission. The trip departs from Agoura Hills Recreation Center.
+The Agoura Hills Department of Community Services, Las Virgenes Unified School District and the city of Westlake Village have announced the Community Concert and Jazz Band's fall performance.
The concert is at 5 p.m. Sun., Nov. 19 at Willow Elementary School in Agoura Hills. The band rehearses Tuesday nights in the Agoura High School band room. +The city of Agoura Hills is offering a course in adult/child/infant CPR. Registration is required. The Heartsaver class will cover CPR, an AED (defibrillator) demonstration, rescue breathing, barrier device usage, choking, safety issues and information on sudden infant death syndrome.
Students who complete the course will receive a manual and other information as well as an American Heart Association twoyear CPR certification card. The class will be held Thurs., Oct. 12 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The cost is $35. There is a $15 nonrefundable lab fee payable to the instructor.
