Group has special education goals for Oak Park schools

The Special Education Advi- sory Committee of the Oak Park Unified School District will present a discussion on special education in local schools from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Mon., Oct. 9 in Room G-9, Oak Park High School.

Superintendent Tony Knight and Cathy Skiba, director of pupil services, will present "2006/2007 Goals for the Oak Park Unified School District Department of Pu- pil Services" and "Budget Per- spectives for Special Education."

Upcoming presentations in- clude "Accommodations and modifications for special educa- tion students in general education settings" on Nov. 6 and "Helping your child with homework" on Jan. 8, 2007. These meetings will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Oak Park Library.
