Issue cloudy

For the last several weeks I thought I was coming down with a cold or having an al- lergy attack (sore throat, drip- ping nose, tight chest, etc.). I complained to someone who is an asthmatic and she told me that she had the same com- plaint, called her doctor, and was told that the problem was the result of the air pollution caused by the Ojai fire.

Then I remembered the "smog alert" days through which we suffered in L.A.

Sadly, the days will soon revisit us in Westlake Village if we vote in favor of the Lowe's big box and its exces- sive traffic and air pollution (66,000 cars a week). It's there in the environmental impact report: higher than allowed levels of air pollution during construction and then again from traffic once the "Town Cancer" is built.

I hope that you didn't bring your children and yourselves to Westlake Village to suffer from poison in your mouths, your noses, your eyes, your lungs. Please join me in a healthy vote no on Proposition Z and the "Town Cancer." Michael Edelstein Westlake Village
