Council member is rebuked

I read Council Member Phillippa Klessig's letter regard- ing her position on the proposed Lowe's and the alleged position of all Westlake Village council members, past and present.

Regardless of the fact that I oppose Lowe's entering Westlake Village, I do not feel that it is a appropriate for a public servant to publish their personal opinion under the guise of a council mem- ber. Not once was I, as a resident of Westlake Village, guided to the city's website to read and form my opinion regarding the Lowe's de- velopment proposition.

I believe that it is the job of our elected officials to lead and guide us and not to attempt to sway us to their personal opinions. Julie Newsome Westlake Village
