Mountain bikers host fundraiser

The Concerned Off-Road Bicy- clists Association presents the Fat Tire Fest 2006 and the 19th annual fundraiser from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., Oct. 14 at Malibu Creek State Park, 1925 Las Virgenes Road, Calabasas.

A Poker Run will be staged from 8 a.m. to noon. Registration and check-in will be in the main stag- ing area and helmets are required.

The event will include a free mountain bike skills clinic, log pull

contest, catered lunch, raffle, ex- hibitors with demo bikes and riding with celebrity pro riders Marla Streb and Mike Aucutt.

The cost is $25 for association members, $30 for non-members, $10 for children 12 and under. Lunch is $10 and raffle tickets are $1 apiece.
