Agoura (3-0) at Simi Valley (2-1)
WOW!-Above from left, Oaks Christian's Sean Wiser, Corey Yriarte, Anthony Gildon and Marshall Jones rush the field. Left, Oaks' tailback Marc Tyler leaves a pair of St. Bonaventure defenders in his wake. Outlook: Before the season started, Agoura head coach Charlie Wegher said his squad would be balanced on offense. So far, so good for the Chargers, who've rushed the ball 101 times and passed it on 71 occasions dur-
ng victories over Ventura, Camarillo and Rio Mesa.
AHS quarterback Doug Shumway has connected on 68 percent of his passes since taking over for Jordan Arias. The Charger ground game has been
ed by Matt Bradley, who's aver- aging 5.5 yards per carry.
Against Simi Valley, Agoura's defense will need to key on Pio- neer running back Langston Jack- son. Simi's junior ball carrier posted 231 yards in Week 3. Oaks Christian (3-0)
at Venice (2-1)
Outlook: Another week, an- other nationally televised game for the Lions. After hammering St. Bonaventure 59-13 last Friday, OCHS takes on Venice in a game that'll be broadcast on ESPN2.
Not only did Oaks Christian si- lence any doubters with its im- pressive performance over St. Bonaventure, but they established themselves as one of the finest football teams in the nation.
Doing his best Peyton Man- ning impression, quarterback Jimmy Clausen completed 17-of- 27 passes for 224 yards and two scores against the Seraphs. Marc Tyler had five touchdowns, while Sean Wiser and Chris Potter were unstoppable at times. Oaks must guard against a letdown here.
