Reyes Adobe Days seeks community involvement

Entry forms and tickets are now available for many of the featured events during Reyes Adobe Days, a three-day festival hosted by the city of Agoura Hills on Oct. 13 to 15.

Businesses and organizations are invited to enter the Reyes Adobe Days parade on Sat., Oct. 14, a one- mile procession with Grand Mar- shal Jenilee Harrison that will be- gin at 10 a.m. along Thousand Oaks Boulevard and end at the Reyes Adobe Days' main event, "A Day at the Adobe." Parade applications are free and the deadline to enter is tomorrow, Sept. 30.

The public may pre-register for the RAD Family Fun Race and 5K with a $15 entry fee for the Family Run and $20 for the 5K.

Sign up fee for the Gymkhana at the Old Agoura Equestrian Cen- ter is $5 per class or all day for $25. This event is open to all levels of riding.

Tickets may now be purchased for the kickoff Senior Fiesta and Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Fri., Oct. 13 at the Reyes Adobe Historical Site. The event includes Mexican buffet lunch, Spanish music and dancing and museum tours. Tick- ets are $8.

Advance tickets may be pur- chased for the "Hay Fever" Teen Dance on Fri., Oct. 13, 7 to 10 p.m. at the Agoura Hills Recreation Cen- ter. The dance is for grades 6 through 8 and will include a D.J., Velcro wall, obstacle course and dance contest. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.

"Day at the Adobe" is Sat., Oct. 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Reyes Adobe Historical Site. The free event begins with an 8:30 a.m. pre-parade "Bonanza on the Bou- levard" at Thousand Oaks Boule- vard and Forest Cove with Sponge Bob Square Pants, pro skateboard- ing and other activities. A Day at the Adobe follows the parade and features Tribal Winds, mariachis, children's games, pony rides, inter- active cultural demonstrations, fine art expo and tours of the early- 1800s period home and barn.
