Noted authors guests at local writers club

The West Valley Branch of the California Writers Club will host writers and publishers Jerry and Deborah Newark at the group's meeting on Sat., Oct. 7 in the Katzenburg Building at the Movie Television Fund Resi- dence off Mulholland Drive in Woodland Hills.

Club members will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. and the Newarks will speak from 1:15 to 2 p.m. Visi- tors are welcomed to the lecture.

The Newarks are co-authors of the weekly "Bargain Column" in the Los Angeles Daily News. Their talk is titled, "Achieve Suc- cess-Ignore the Experts."
